House Plant Round-Up

Indoor plants brighten up our indoor spaces (especially during these long, dark winter months) and are known to have mood-boosting qualities. Growing plants indoors can be beneficial to both body and mind. Most indoor plants are aesthetically pleasing and are relatively easy to care for.

Normal plant processes include absorbing CO2 and releasing moisture into the air. Physically, both of these functions can be beneficial in a stuffy office environment. Humans breathe in air, absorb O2, and exhale CO2, while plants will do the opposite – absorbing the CO2 and releasing O2. This exchange makes having plants around seem like a logical idea. One study, published in the Journal of Environmental Psychology, found that indoor office plants could prevent fatigue during attention-demanding work, hello WFH!

Did you know that plants can actually make us smarter! Who wouldn’t want that?!

Now check out my five favorites and run to the store to buy these easy plants regardless of your green thumb status; most of these plants need little attention to thrive :)
